Natura Pet Products has recently recalled several of its dry pet food and biscuit / treat products! A product manufactured on April 3 has produced one positive testing for Salmonella. The brands being voluntarily recalled are: Innova, California Natural, EVO, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma. Any of these brands with expiration dates prior to 6/10/2014 are recalled. No canned wet food is involved in the recall.

Salmonella can affect both the pets eating the food, or their parents that handle the food. Humans infected with Salmonella can experience vomiting, diarrhea, cramping and fever. Always remember to wash your hands after handling your pet’s food! Pets infected with Salmonella also experience vomiting, diarrhea, fever and lethargy. If you notice these symptoms in your pet, contact your Veterinarian immediately!
