When we adopt a dog, our new furry friend has often already been given a name. Many of us want to name or rename our pet with a name we like or one we feel fits them better. For example, when I adopted my black cat, he was named “Blackie”. I felt that this was just too basic so for some strange reason I decided to call him Gizmo. My daughters dog was named “Suzy Q”, which didn’t fit her at all! Laura renamed her Alley. Some people like basic names while others really use their imagination! As your local Lansdale pet sitter, I can tell you from experience, we encounter many normal and many wacky names!
The Veterinary Pet Insurance Company collects and publishes dog and cat names each year.
